Barry and Rachel
Please meet Barry and Rachel. Rachel is a tortie female and white and Barry is a long haired ginger and white ale. They are both 9 years old. In the end they turned into long fosters because of the ill health they came to us in.
They came to us full of fleas, lice, Barry had no fur on his stomach - skinny and extremly terrified. Foster mum Sue has worked wonders with them.
Barry and Rachel are desperate to have their loving home, they deserve, comfort, love and never to be treated this way ever again.
They can both be a little timid, but will soon come out their shell when they are comfy.
If you wanted to apply for their adoption together, please follow this link:

Robyn and Willow
Here’s our other beautiful pair - Robyn and Willow
These were from the same multi cat household as Leelo and Juniper - the lady was unfortunately collecting cats and it was all getting a bit too much.
The cats were getting very stressed in a house of 13+ cats and she decided to surrender five over to rescue.
Both Willow and Robyn are such a loving girls, Robyn again was not neutered, living off her anxiety to the point the vets detected a small heart murmur, sometimes they can hear it, sometimes not.
Robyn has now been spayed and those hormones are gone and she’s learning to love life again - the murmur when detected needs no medication, a 12mths check, when it’s vaccination booster time - is all that is needed to manage this.
Both girls needed some TLC, flea, worm and they are all fixed up and loving life and loving human cuddles, to complete their journey they need a forever loving home.
Willow is 4yrs old (Tortie tabby) and Robyn (black and white) is 2yrs old - if you wanted to adopt the girls please follow this link:

Jasper
Everybody please meet Jasper the little minx, here he is, sat in the bath!
He’s around 2yrs old and is a needy little fella for cuddles and hugs.
He has come from a multi cat household, so is used to other cats, but as we say, other cats don’t get on with each other they learn to tolerate each other - it’s up to us humans to make that work and put the time in.
The vets thought he had a heart murmur but when we investigated further with cardio work:
Cardiac test results, this is a really low level. Don't think his heart is going to cause him any problems.
He needs a check up in 3 to 4 months, but we will cover all costs for this at our vets.
If you’re interested in giving Jasper the forever home he deserves, please fill out the form below!

Joey, Lucy and Emelio
This feral Trio Joey, Lucy and Emilio are still looking for their forever home together! They are approximately 18 months old.
They are furry little stars, appearing in “your cat” magazine and are itching to be homed with lots of outdoor space.
Plus Emilio is getting a bit too comfy and …. Shhh Fat, but I haven’t said that.
We are looking for placements, stables, small-holdings, farms, yards etc needing feral cats on their property.
Our ferals are fully neutered, chipped, flea, wormed, given a full health check and vaccinated before placement.
We provide the equipment to hold them for 6-8 weeks before release and will support with food.
We do travel to place our cats, we do go outside our area if the home is right.
We will ask for our equipment back so please make sure you can send back - or meet half way, if long distances are travelled.
Otherwise we will ask for the cost of the equipment back, so we can help more.
If you can provide this for a CG feral cat please do fill in the application form and we will be in contact as soon as we can.

Pixie
Meet Pixie!
Pixie (aka The Pixelater) came to us in August 2021.
When she came into rescue, this poor little girl was in an extremely distressed state, having been found starving and collapsed on the street.
Pixie is an eleven year old lady who, despite being rather set in her ways, has such a sweet little face and the most beautiful markings; she's our dainty cinnamon and butterscotch spice girl.
She likes nothing better than snoozing the day away in the sun or in front of the fire at night. She can be grumpy and she doesn't like to be fussed - she will grump and growl at times, if disturbed, but it is all bluff as she never bites or strikes. We found that reverse psychology works with her, so we leave her to enjoy her quota of grumpiness and sleep and then she will seek us out for head bumps and tasty treats - she will happily settle on your lap and snooze!
She likes her toys and playtime with us. Pixie loves play fighting and mawing your hand. One of her favourite things to do is to hide under tables and chairs and to attack round corners.
We do everything at Pixie’s pace, but we are conscious that she will, if she can, sneak off and sleep on the bed all day and night. So, to help with trust building and re-socialisation, we try to keep her around us most of the time by restricting her from the bedroom in the day. When we do this, we always make sure she has access to quiet safe areas in the rest of the house for when she wants some alone time.
Pixie sleeps on the bed at night and is good as gold, never moving till we rise. She is absolutely no trouble - except she has not got the hang of the scratching poles yet!
We never forget the state she was found in, so her progress in learning to trust humans and to play again, is truly amazing. She will benefit from a patient owner with a quiet home and probably no children, certainly not very young ones. We are not sure if she could cope with other cats at this time, so a house where she would be the only cat is preferable. She does seem to have a delicate tummy and benefits from access to grass to help remove bile on occasions - she has been examined and been given the all clear by our vet in regard to this.
If you feel you can offer Pixie her forever home, please fill out the form below!

The cats were getting very stressed in a house of 13+ cats and she decided to surrender five over to rescue.
Leelo is such a loving girl, she has formed a bond with Juniper, both very sweet loving girls.
Both girls needed a dental, some TLC, flea, worm and leelo at first wasn’t neutered with hormones driving her anxiety. Leelo has tested positive for calicivirus, it's in her mouth and we think as we have caught it early then there may be no further repercussions. We will cover any further treatment needed.
They are all fixed up and loving life and loving human cuddles, to complete their journey they need a forever loving home
Leelo is 3yrs old and Juniper is 5yrs old - if you wanted to adopt the girls please follow this link:

Orrin the viking
Please meet Orrin the Viking a ginger and white male aged 2 years old. Many may say Orrin wasn’t a Viking, but we know the truth, don’t we!
He was, he was, he was!
Now that’s out of the way, look at our superstar Orrin.
This fella was left roaming the streets for some time, he was an absolute bruiser when he came in, grumpy and didn’t like humans, he wouldn’t let anyone near him.
He was feeling pretty unwell, so we will forgive him.
He had a chronic urine infection and was so stressed out, we treated him for that and he will have to stay on urinary food as he’s doing so well on it. His water infection is now clear and he’s a much happier soul.
He also needed a dental so we sorted that out as well.
He has started off his first vacs and so far so good, Orrin is now giving out smiles.
He will need a patient home, someone who’s willing to treat him with viking respect and maybe even a game of viking chess? Who knows.
Orrin is now up for adoption so please apply via our adoption form link below:

Betty and Bella
Betty and Bella are a bonded pair of sisters who have been in foster since they were apround 7 weeks old. Although Bella has come around in a home setting, coming for cuddles on her terms, Betty remains elusive - preferring to hide under a bed but puts in a guest appearance once per day when she will permit the lady of the house to stroke her once from nose to tail, eat, then disappear! This has meant we have struggled to find a home for them as everyone seems to want instant lap cats which these girls are not.
They have recently moved to a cattery setting due to struggling in foster, and we feel they now need more space in their own home with safe access to outdoors - catio, secure garden or safely away from roads. They have never had free roam outdoors so this would need to be managed carefully and we can support with that.
These girls need humans who will accept them exactly as they are - and love them regardless! Bella can be the biggest flirt when she decides to like you and can be quite demanding for cuddles! This will of course take time in a new home. She loves to play with toys and will chase them relentlessly - Betty has also been known to have a play when she decides to grace you with her presence!
Both girls absolutely adore other cats - they relish being part of a feline famiy.
If you think you can commit to giving these girls a wonderful home with all the space they need to settle - and be happy with their company even if they remain timid - please fill out the form below and we will be in touch!

Smokey
Smokey is a portly tabby chap of about 11 years old.
He came into our care late 2021 after owner went into a home and unfortunately hasn’t come out, her son took the other cats but didn’t want Smokey, so he came to us.
It is safe to say his world revolves around food but also means he is currently on a diet, which he is non too happy about.
He is a truly lovely cat, content to lounge about and endure the fuss from his new slave and certainly great for a cuddle.
He does have Diabetes, but this should not deter any potential owner, as it is easily managed via twice daily injection.
He is stable at the moment and is on three monthly fructosamine blood tests to see how he’s going.
The primary focus for him is to help him to lose weight as this MAY lead to diabetic remission and no injections required, but could take some time to achieve, some cats can cure themselves of diabetes - but I’ve not had one in rescue yet, that has done this.
If you think Smokey is the right cat for you to adopt and help, we will cover all costs relating to his diabetes and give you full support on how to care for him.
If you wanted to apply for Smokey’s adoption please fill out this form or take a look on our website https://www.catsguidancerescue.com/ for all our other cats.

Candy
Here’s one of our hard to home cats - mental HQ says she’s settling in ok (apart from she hates other cats) but we will take that as a positive
Please meet the beautiful stunning, Cow Bag, Grumpy, Candy. She is a tortie and white female aged 6 years old.
You know we are always honest here at CG, but I know there is a home out there for this girl - we just need to reach them.
Candy is definitely not. sweet by nature, she’s a Tortie with complete cattitude, that means you could be walking down the stairs and she might have a go at your foot, well why not, that might be tasty
Everything is on her terms and her terms only, we are just looking for a human slave really
Candy might decide one night she’s sitting on your knee, but of course that would be on her terms only, she enjoys cuddles but if that’s too much, she will certainly let you know, as you need to remember this is candy’s world, not yours
Candy does also have an enlarged heart so she is on tablets for it, foster mum has developed a relationship (like my wording there) where tablets go straight in the mouth, but don’t worry as a tablet hidden in a treat, she’s ok with that as well, we are happy to carry on paying for this treatment.
Oh P.S Candy hates other cats, no tolerance, no give it time, she needs to be the only cat in the household.
Candy will need outdoor access away from busy main roads.
So if you would want to adopt a psychopath cat that will mostly hate you, please follow this link, we love meeting people who can rise to the occasion - please fill in this application:
